All our wines are made for inquisitive tasters, for moments of reflection or to enhance an excellent meal.
Lo Sbiado
IGT Toscana Red
Lo Sbiado is the first wine produced on the estate since 2013 and takes its name from the small road that connects our house to the vineyard, called Via di Sbiado.
It is produced from indigenous vines, predominantly Sangiovese.
It is a wine aged only in stainless steel tanks, so is therefore fresh and pleasantly enjoyable. Excellent when paired with salami and grilled red meats (such as Florentine steak).
Kore
IGT Toscana Rosé
Our rosé, Kore, is derived from an initial harvest of Sangiovese grapes. Aged for approximately 5 months in stainless steel tanks, plus two months in the bottle, it features hints of red fruits such as strawberry, raspberry, and pomegranate, along with floral notes like cyclamen. In the mouth, it is soft, fresh, and easy to drink. Excellent for an aperitif and pairs well with appetizers, including those with meat or cured meats, as well as first courses with vegetables or white meat ragù.
Aiabianca
IGT Toscana White
Aiabianca is a wine made from Viognier grapes, aged for 6 months in stainless steel tanks on its fine lees, with occasional batonnage to enhance aroma, texture and flavour, plus at least 3 months in bottle. It has a strong varietal characterization, with notes of grapefruit, apricot and peach. Thanks to its freshness, it also has excellent drinkability. A versatile and gastronomic wine, it pairs excellently with bruschetta, sushi, pappa al pomodoro (a rustic bread and tomato recipe) and pasta dishes with vegetables.
Calilla
IGT Toscana White
A 100% Viognier wine. Produced with well-ripened grapes, aged for about 6 months in French oak tonneaux with repeated batonnage, plus at least 3 months in the bottle. In addition to the well-known varietal characteristics of apricot and peach, it presents delicate notes of vanilla and coconut from the wood aging. Complex and very intense, fresh, mineral, with a very long persistence, it pairs well with elaborate seafood dishes such as Livornese-style cacciucco, white meats, feathered game, and grilled seafood.
Animatinta
IGT Toscana Red
Animatinta is a wine without added sulfites, made with grapes from our oldest vineyards (Ciliegiolo, Sangiovese, and other native varieties). It is aged in stainless steel tanks for about 5 months and at least two months in the bottle.
On the nose, it reveals scents of mature and evolved red fruit, spices like coriander and black pepper, and dried fruit such as almonds. Complex and distinctive, on the palate, it is soft and easy to drink despite its significant alcohol content, with an aftertaste of dried fruit and a certain succulence of tannins. Excellent when paired with rich and spicy cured meats, roasts, and rare red meats.
Tandem
IGT Toscana Red
Tandem is our flagship red wine, from which the La Chientima logo is also inspired. It is mainly produced with Foglia Tonda and Sangiovese grapes, aged for at least 12 months in French oak tonneaux (until 2022 in barriques). It is a complex wine with excellent structure, perfect for pairing with elaborate dishes, red meats, even slow-cooked recipes, game, and medium-aged cheeses.
